Choo Smith Youth Empowerment Summer Camp understands that financial needs vary from family to family. We’re committed to making our camp experience accessible to all children, and we’re proud to offer three tiers of financial assistance that align with the Maryland Child Care Scholarship Program (CCSP) criteria.
Financial Assistance Tiers
Tier 1 (Significant Assistance): This tier offers the most significant financial assistance, typically covering [75-100]% of camp costs. Priority is given to families meeting income thresholds at or below [50]% of the State Median Income (SMI).
Tier 2 (Partial Assistance): This tier offers partial financial assistance, typically covering [50-75]% of camp costs. It’s designed to support families within a certain income range, typically between **[50]% and [80]% of the SMI.
Tier 3 (Minimal Assistance): This tier offers a minimal discount on camp fees or may be reserved for families with extenuating circumstances. It’s intended to provide some level of support for families who may not qualify for the higher tiers but still demonstrate financial need.
Additional Considerations for Eligibility
While the primary factor for our financial assistance program is income eligibility aligned with the CCSP, we may consider additional factors in special circumstances. These may include:
- Family size: Larger families may have a greater financial need for camp assistance.
- Number of children attending camp: Families with multiple children attending camp may be eligible for additional support.
Important Note:
- You can adjust the bracketed percentages to best reflect your camp’s financial aid budget and program goals.
We encourage you to visit the Maryland CCSP website to learn more about eligibility requirements and how to apply: https://dhs.maryland.gov/child-care-scholarship-ccs/
By aligning our program with the CCSP, we aim to streamline the application process and ensure our financial assistance reaches families who qualify under state guidelines.
